- Memorial Day: Saturday, May 29–Monday, May 31.
- Juneteenth: Friday, June 18–Sunday, June 20 (the federal holiday is observed Friday).
- Independence Day: Saturday, July 3–Monday, July 5 (the federal holiday is observed Monday).
- Labor Day: Saturday, September 4–Monday, September 6.
- Columbus Day: Saturday, October 9–Monday, October 11. Some states and communities use different names or observances for this date.
- Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 25–Sunday, November 28. Take Friday off to make it a four-day break.
- Christmas: Friday, December 24–Sunday, December 26 (the federal holiday is observed Friday).
Veterans Day falls on Thursday, November 11. Taking Friday off can make a four-day break through Sunday.
If you want a nine-day break around Memorial Day or Labor Day, taking Tuesday through Friday after the Monday holiday requires four weekdays of leave; the resulting break runs from the preceding Saturday through the following Sunday.
Other 2027 dates worth marking
